Cheesy Dungeness Crab Dip Recipe: Bring the ocean to a party or date night!

In the last couple of years, I have made a journey to find new crab recipes with all the Dungeness crabbing I have been doing along the Oregon Coast. Some recipes are so good I keep them to make again. Other recipes, not so much. But one of my new favorites, and a recipe I will be keeping on rotation in the fall & winter will be cheese Dungeness crab dip. A great date night, weeknight dinner, or party dish, you will impress with one of the most flavorful crabbing recipes I have found in years!Ingredients:4oz package of cream cheese (at room temperature)1/8 cup mayonnaise1/8 cup sour cream1 garlic clove (minced)1/8 cup chopped green onions3/4 tsp Old Bay Seasoning1/8 tsp salt (if necessary)1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce1/4 of a lemon juice (juice only)1/2 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese1/4 tsp hot sauce (to taste)8oz fresh Dungeness crab (shelled)
Sourdough bread, crackers, chips, veggies for dippingRecipe Directions:Pre-Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Add cream cheese to a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Stir in the mayo, sour cream, garlic, green onion, Old Bay Seasoning, salt, Worcestershire and lemon juice.Next, add 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese and hot sauce, mixing until smooth. You will save the rest of the cheddar for the topping. Lastly, stir in the Dungeness crab, mixing everything together. Note: do not over mix, but make sure all ingredients are incorporated.Spread the mixture into a 9” pie dish or a smaller size baking pan, then sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the mixture. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.Serve with chips, veggies, bread or whatever you love to dip into the tasty Dungeness crab dip!
